The proud wife of century star of Kannada cinema Shivarajakumar – Geetha is filing nominations for Lok Sabha seat from Shimoga constituency from Janata Dal Secular on 24th of March for the April 17 Parliament election voting in Karnataka.

For the first time the calm and quiet Geetha Shivarajakumar addressed the media with Shivarajakumar next to her at the Bengaluru Press Club on Tuesday morning.

·         Whether I win or lose, I will remain in politics here afterwards.

·         I know all the difficulties of the people and district issues like Dandavathi issue, electricity problem and irrigation issues plus the worries of the people.

·         I used to travel with my father S Bangarappa in my early days. It is from him I have studied all the pros and cons.

·         I am not new to politics. My mother is not well and so she recommended my name.

·         I have consulted in both the families and then took this decision.

·         Let the people select the person they like.

·         Puneeth Rajakumar and Raghavendra Rajakumar are supporting me in this LS election. I welcome all film industry personnel to extend support.

·         After filing the nominations I will be in Shimoga till the elections and after that also I take up all problems of people for solution.

·         I have joined JDS because it is that particular secular party that gave good lift to my father when he was in difficulty. My another brother Madhu Bangarappa is also to my side and in the party.

·         I don’t feel the necessity of asking support from Kumar Bangarappa my another brother.

·         The rumor that is floated on our family issue is not all that correct.
